Steven Hemmerdinger, MD, FACS is a board certified otolaryngologist currently practicing at ENT Faculty Practice. He maintains an affiliation with the Westchester Medical Center Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery as an attending physician. Dr. Hemmerdinger serves in a clinical position at Westchester Institute for Human Development and maintains an Academic Faculty appointment of Assistant Professor at New York Medical College. He completed both his medical education and residency training at New York University School of Medicine spending time at Tisch Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital as well as Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. Dr. Hemmerdinger received his bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
Dr. Hemmerdinger treats both adults and pediatric patients suffering from a wide variety of ailments, including but not limited to ear infections and hearing loss, throat infections, deviated septum, sinusitis and nasal polyps, hoarseness, thyroid and parathyroid dysfunction, salivary gland disorders, head and neck tumors, facial trauma as well as an increasing focus on sleep medicine. His office sites are located throughout Westchester County as well as Orange County. In addition, he spends a great deal of time at the Westchester Medical Center otolaryngology clinic supervising New York Eye & Ear Infirmary resident physicians and New York Medical College students.
Dr. Hemmerdinger has always maintained a strong relationship with his community. As he earned his medical degree from New York University, he served as an organizer for student orientation, as a Big Brother and tour guide, and participated in various community service activities. His hobbies include personal fitness, skiing, reading, and traveling.
